The morning of December 9th, a big storm was predicted. The Navteq Traffic Center employees were all ready and prepared for a rough morning. But when the storm never came and typical rush hour delays ensued, employees got bored!

Rodrigo y Gabriela are a duo from Mexico City who have been performing together since 2001. Rodrigo y Gabriela bring together elements of nuevo flamenco, jazz, and metal on classical guitars. The duo demonstrates hypnotizing finger work for Sound Opinions at Goose Island Barrel House where they perform 'Santo Domingo.'

On September 19th, 2013, 13 people were wounded during a shooting at Cornell Square Park in Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood. Directly across from that park is Richard J. Daley Elementary Academy, a school that's been affected by gun violence not just in the park, but all over the South Side neighborhood that it's a part of.

WBEZ Reporter Lauren Chooljian visited Daley Academy for an art show held by a group of seventh graders. Their works, done in marker and ink, were inspired by gun violence.
